When is the Next Australian Federal Election?
The question EVERYONE seems to be asking...
In short: we don’t know just yet!
The big day will land on a Saturday and the current best guess is it will either be May 3, May 10, or May 17. We’ll only officially know once the current Prime Minister, Anthony Albanese, sets a date. But, there does need to be a minimum of 33 days of campaigning between him calling the election and the day of the vote, so stay tuned.
Which seats are up for election this year?
Every single seat in the House of Representatives (or Lower House) is up for grabs, and roughly half the seats in the Senate (or Upper House) will be on the table too.
